ok so the past like half a day has been crazy...and if it's any indicator maybe the rest of the day will be unexpected but exhilarating as well. so just to get started:
1. Ben Folds at Bollo's
so if you know me fairly well you know i'm pretty much in love with Bollo's the independent, vegan/vegetarian coffee shop here in blacksburg. i met up with a friend there yesterday evening to work on some poetry and strangely enough Mr. Folds was just sitting there chilling and drinking coffee. i mean it's not like he came to blacksburg just for the coffee, he is playing a show here at Tech tomorrow...but i was excited because i've never met a famous person, much less someone i respect musically. i got his autograph because i'm a tool like that.
2. Handcuffs
long story short at about 1:00am there was an incident in my hallway that involved three drunk male residents...the details aren't important but i did see someone get arrested and handcuffed..something i have never witnessed in real life. i've seen handcuffs plenty of times on law&order of course. but yeah. it was an experience, and it took me forever to fall asleep...i love my job, i love my job....yeah.

3. Gorgeous Weather
it was unbelievably beautiful out today, sunny and just right warm, not uncomfortable.
4. Internship Info
i applied almost two weeks ago for an internship with the national center for ethics in health care. i finally got an email back from their seattle office asking for more information...so i suppose that's a good sign although i'm not too sure about moving to seattle for a whole summer. it's awfully far away and they don't provide housing. but whatever. positive thinking! i heard back and they sound interested in me. yay!
that's all i have...hokie football season tickets go on sale tomorrow. i think i'm going to get them just so i can have an excuse to come back to blacksburg for as many weekends as i can next semester.
today was exhausting.

how about personal favorite?
i used to be pretty much addicted to myspace, but since facebook has suddenly gotten way cooler and way more addictive (thanks minifeed) i've stopped myspacing.
this is also a tribute to my old canon powershot who died on March 15, 2007. we had four good years together, he will be missed.
i haven't washed my hair in days and i'm all kinds of pasty because instead of going outside in this gorgeous weather i've been staying inside sleeping/watching movies/interneting.
being on duty on a saturday night when you know everyone is out having fun kind of sucks pretty hard. (it's ring dance and some friends are throwing a wine and cheese party.)
i still haven't heard back from grad school or the internship i applied to so that's pretty disheartening too.
i can't seem to write or think about anything else but my uncertain future.
i apologize for the repetition of my entries.
pretty much my friends are the best friends a girl could ask for.
i've had so much fun this week, and it looks like there is more fun to come in the next few days :)
last night i was surprised by an office party
complete with mugs and delicious vegan birthday cake!

i pretty much feel old as shit.
spring break was pretty good.
i got to see curtis and kris and 300.
so that was nice.

we went to the virginia aquarium and the oceanfront (even though it was cold).
i don't know why but i've been feeling awful for the past few days.
not awful sick, just tired and kind of sad and i've had crucial headaches too.
